The Rabun Rough-Out Natural Veg Tan Belt. For this project, I collaborated with my good friends at Whiskey Leatherworks.
This 1.5" strap is made from one of my favorite 8-9 oz leathers; US tanned, full-grain, natural veg tan rough-out from the Herman Oak Tannery. This leather was chosen as a result of its ability to acquire an incredible patina in a very short time which will age perfectly customized to your lifestyle and wear. No other leather soaks up indigo patina like natural veg tan rough-out.
The solid copper buckle and keep are hand-forged in Missoula by metalsmith Nathan Kimpell. Both buckle and keep are secured with hand-set copper rivets and burrs for a lifetime of dependability. The solid copper on this belt will develop a gorgeous customized patina over time based on usage.
