Logistics – Rugged Workwear brand partnered with Baker's Boots to design this boot.  Baker’s Boots is a leader in the heritage boot supplier industry and specializes in Pacific Northwest boots as well as heritage boot sales and support.  Baker’s Boots will be handling all of the fitting questions in the ordering process of this boot.  As a result, they ordering process can be linked to on their site from this sale entry.  This was an awesome partnership during the design and now as the boot goes to market.  I look forward to partnering with Baker’s Boots on more boot designs in the future!

Maker - Wesco boots has a long and storied heritage making work boots in the Pacific Northwest.  You cannot go wrong with a Wesco boot.  This design leverages the Wesco Jobmaster boot as the foundation.  The Jobmaster is a very rugged boot design that has been used for thousands of physically demanding jobs in the field.  This foundational design is durable enough to last a lifetime if you take care of your boots.  Even if you are using them for tough tasks and labor activities.

Options – the prototype boot pictured here is the Wesco Jobmaster foundational design in the Semi-lace to toe option.  Semi-lace to toe simply means there are five lower eyelets horizontally on the top of the foot.  The Jobmaster also has a lace to toe option and a standard lacing (traditional).  The lace to toe option has six lower horizontal eyelets and the standard toe lacing option has four lower horizontal eyelets.  All three of these options are available for your boot so you can choose your foundational Jobmaster design that works best for your taste and usage.

Leather - CF Steade Teak leather was used and it is a truly unique one of a kind leather.  If you look closely at the photos you will see gobs of leather character.  The pullup character is brilliant and the marbling and imperfections from the tanning process and uniqueness of each hide used not only make this a unique leather that stands out from the crowd, it also means your boot will be a true one of a kind boot with no other boot exactly like it, even if you are standing next to somebody that purchases this same boot design.  Besides the unique characteristics and beauty, this leather is also TOUGH.  The tanning process shrinks the leather making it more dense than regular cowhide leather.  This makes it more durable for anything you want to throw at it.  Think of it as a leather with density more similar to horsehide than cowhide while retaining the softer character of cowhide.

Outsole – Choosing an outsole can be difficult, there are so many options.  For this boot, a Vibram 700 outsole was used, but with a brown (versus the normal black) color to better match the aesthetic of this boot.  This “V” sole is a rubberized sole that has good (normal) to moderate (mud, snow) traction in all terrains.  The “V” design also is great combination of traction while minimizing mud and debris collection in the traction tread.  You can move easily between indoor and outdoor project or just casual wear with this sole and not worry about getting mud, dirt, snow, et cetera everywhere you walk.

Midsole – this boot leverages a double midsole to maximize the amount of molding your foot will do inside the boot over time. While the double midsole will take a little longer to break in, it is not uncomfortable while you are doing that.  And once broken in, the molding will yield a more comfortable overall feel while you wear this boot all day long in any conditions.  The double midsole also helps protect your foot in case you step on nails or sharp objects in hazardous conditions, this midsole is harder to penetrate when and if you do step on sharp objects accidentally.

Miscellaneous – this boot leverages darker stitching and also darker hardware to finish off the rugged and refined appearance.  The natural midsole and welt coupled with the darker stitchdown stitching and upper stitching make this even more of a unique design compared to most other boots you see in the market with standard colored upper and welt stitching as well as midsole finish.
